For the orchard establishment base seedlings were initially produced at Lokorsko nursery and subsequently engrafted with sprays of lime (Tilia cordata) collected from the territory of Plana Natura 2000 site. The seed orchard will be used in future for the collection of lime reproductive material. In addition to the lime seedlings such from several other species important for biodiversity conservation in forest habitats were also planted in the orchard to ensure reproductive material for future use.
