EFA volunteers planted trees in Dragoman

Volunteers from the staff of the Executive Forestry Agency (EFA) participated in tree planting action on the territory of Dragoman protected site.

Volunteers worked hard to plant new seedlings as replacement of the ones that were planted here last year and could not survive the harsh soil and climatic conditions on the site. Several forest parcels burned in this area 3 years ago and were reforested as part of project activities in 2014.

EFA volunteers planted seedlings of 7 species typical for the composition of priority habitat 91H0* Pannonian woods with Quercus pubescens that were produced in Lokorsko nursery from the forest reproductive material collected under the project.

The spring tree planting action is traditional and was organized as part of the series of events related to the celebration of the National forest week - 2015.
