The event was hosted by State Hunting Unit Balchik and their project Conservation and restoration of Black sea oak habitats. Representatives of all ongoing Bulgarian LIFE projects took part in the meeting including experts form environmental NGOs, scientific institutions, the Executive Forestry Agency as well as EC representatives.

The agenda included presentations of the recently approved for funding Bulgarian LIFE projects and discussions on various issues related to project implementation and reporting. During the meeting EC representatives - Mrs. Brunhilde Rack and Mr. Simon Goss - presented the new moments of the LIFE Program for the new program period including the most important aspects of the development of successful project proposals.

At the end of the meeting the hosts from State Hunting Unit Balchik organized field visit of the sites reforested under their project Conservation and restoration of Black sea oak habitats.
